Just finished my latest painting of the 1978 Houston Supercross start line, featuring Broc Glover, Marty Tripes, Bob Hannah and Rich Eierstedt. It was based on a b/w photo by Jim Gianatsis, who gave me permission to base this painting on one of his classic shots.
I tried to capture that moment, almost frozen in time as the gates drops, the riders react, and they race off to turn one.
The moment the gate drops and Broc Glover, Marty Tripes, Bob Hannah and Rich Eierstedt react and race off towards first corner.
