“Slip Slidin’ Away” NEW Supermoto Commission

Posted: January 13, 2011 in Uncategorized

Just completed this NEW commission ” Slip Slidin’ Away” of Supermoto rider Alan Bott competing in a round of the FIM World Supermoto Grand Prix in Italy.

"Slip Slidin' Away " Supermoto commission by Alan Bott

This was by far one of my most detailed paintings thus far, trying to capture the speed and intensity as they slide the rear wheel  into a corner on  the Italian tarmac, whilst also capturing all the detail of the mechanic’s, pit’s and Supermoto Mastertent’s in the background!

The painting was commissioned by Alan Bott, the leading rider and will soon be on display at Pemberton Tyres, Standish, Nr. Wigan in the waiting room area. A valued customer, Alan recently commissioned a painting of Steve McQueen in the desert on his Triumph Metisse and a karting painting of his uncle at Heysham. A former motocrosser, in recent years Alan has raced Supermoto and also Sprint Buggies at world level.

More of Rob’s work can be seen at www.robkinsey.com and giclee prints and original paintings are also for sale.
