Posted: February 14, 2011 in Uncategorized

Spent last weekend exhibiting at the Telford Classic Show in England, organised by Alan Wright. This years event was the best so far, all the halls were full and on Saturday and Sunday packed with visitors keen to snap up a bargain, or just check out the many rare and exotic machines on display.

I was very busy all weekend on my Rob Kinsey Art stand selling prints, T shirts and also discussing future commissioned paintings.

Being next to Rod Sprys excellent display of CCM,s, Cheney’s and JBR and Curtis Honda’s brought a lot of visitors to our stands.

World Champion Jeff Smith with artist Rob Kinsey

Long time Jeff Smith fan Phil Allen and his son were able to meet their hero.  Phil commissioned the illustration for his dad who had followed “Smithy” all his career.

On Saturday evening a gala dinner was held to honour Jeff Smith. I was lucky to get a last minute ticket from my friend Rob Poulton.
MC Colin Dommett kept us all entertained listening to Smithy’s dry tales of his championship years and rivals, both in motocross & trials and Alan Wright gave us a speech about his 1964 title winning season.
